IMPLAI Advantage: All-English Curriculum
- IMPLAI is a fully certified all-English Master's program.
- According to official MOE regulations, applicants choosing an all-English program are exempted from submitting Chinese proficiency (TOCFL) certificates.
- Applicants may submit recognized English proficiency certificates (e.g., TOEFL) instead. Native English speakers are completely exempt from providing language proficiency proofs.

6 Steps to secure your MOE Taiwan Scholarship
Crucial Deadline & Jurisdiction Note:
While the regular annual application period runs from February 1 to March 31, precise deadlines and selection regulations are strictly subject to local adjustments. You MUST apply through the specific Taiwan Representative Office that has jurisdiction over your country of nationality.

◆ Step-by-Step Procedures ◆
- Step 01. Submit Application to Overseas Mission & Apply to NTUE Send your scholarship application package to the Taiwan Representative Office in your country. Separately, complete your online admission application to the IMPLAI program at NTUE.
- Step 02. Attend the Screening Interview Participate in the interview or review process organized by your local Taiwan Overseas Mission (except for specific exempt conditions).
- Step 03. Submit NTUE Admission Notice Once you receive your official Admission Letter from NTUE, submit a copy to the Overseas Mission before June 30 to secure your eligibility.
- Step 04. Receive the Award Certificate Successful candidates will be finalized by July 31 and receive the official "Taiwan Scholarship Program Award Certificate" from the Overseas Mission.
- Step 05. Travel to Taiwan & Register Arrive in Taiwan, complete registration procedures at NTUE, and proactively submit your ARC with "pursuing studies" status each semester.
- Step 06. Monthly Allowance Distribution NTUE will evaluate academic performance at the end of each semester and distribute the monthly NTD 20,000 living allowance directly to your account.

Documents to Submit to the Taiwan Representative Office
- 1. Taiwan Scholarship Application Form Must be fully completed and typed in English or Chinese
- 2. Copy of Passport or Proof of Nationality Including applicant's parents' nationality certificates if applicable

- 3. Highest Degree Diploma & Academic Transcripts Must be verified by an ROC overseas mission if not in English or Chinese

- 4. Proof of University Admission Application e.g., NTUE IMPLAI application form copy, receipt of application fee, or confirmation email

- 5. English Language Proficiency Certificate TOEFL scores, recognized proficiency exam certificates, or proof of an English-medium degree (Exempt for native English speakers)

- 6. Two Letters of Reference Signed and sealed in envelopes by principals, professors, or supervisors. Photocopies/emails NOT accepted.

- 7. MOE Taiwan Scholarship Terms of Agreement Read, understood, and signed by the applicant
- 8. Health Certificate (Form B / 乙表) Must include chest X-Ray, Syphilis test, Measles/Rubella antibodies. Valid for 3 months only.
✱ Crucial Maintenance & Suspension Warnings ✱
Once awarded, recipients must abide by academic evaluation guidelines at NTUE:
Academic Grade Maintenance: Postgraduate students must maintain a minimum average grade of 80/100 each semester. Failure to meet this standard will result in a 1-month suspension of the living allowance. If grades fall below 80 for two consecutive semesters, the scholarship will be permanently revoked.
ARC Document Submission: Students must proactively provide their Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) explicitly indicating the purpose of "Study" to the NTUE office every single semester during registration. Failure to do so will lead to immediate suspension or revocation of the scholarship.
