💡 Mandatory Prerequisite Notice:
In accordance with NTUE academic regulations, all graduate students must complete the Academic Research Ethics courses and obtain the certificate prior to submitting their Thesis Proposal Defense application (Stage 1).

【Stage 1】 Account Registration & Activation

First-time Login and Identity Verification

📋 Registration Steps

Step 1: Access Platform & Select Role Go to the AREE homepage and click on the [Mandatory Students] button in the top right corner.
Go to AREE

Step 2: Enter University & Login Credentials

• City: Select [Taipei City]

• Institution: Select [National Taipei University of Education]

• Account: Enter your [Student ID]

• Password: Default password is the [last 5 digits of your Student ID]

▲ Select Taipei City / NTUE and input credentials

Step 3: Check Activation Email & Set New Password
An activation link will be sent to your email inbox (remember to check your spam folder). Click the link to set a new password and activate your account.

【Stage 2】 Complete Course Modules

Online Self-Paced Learning

After logging in, please complete all assigned mandatory online course modules on the platform.

💡 Study Tips & Recommendations:

Watch the instructional videos: Understand core academic ethics concepts thoroughly.
Complete unit quizzes: Many quiz questions are very similar to the final exam questions.
Supplementary materials: Skimming through is sufficient; there is no need to memorize everything word for word.

【Stage 3】 Take the Online Final Exam

Passing the Assessment

Once you finish all required learning modules, the final online exam will become available.

⚠️ Final Exam Rules:
• Total Questions: 35 multiple-choice questions.
• Passing Score: At least 85% is required to pass.
• Daily Attempts: You have 5 attempts per day (attempts renew daily at 00:00).

📝 Exam Tips:

Don't worry if you don't pass on your first attempt; you can re-attempt up to 5 times each day.
You may utilize tools such as Google or ChatGPT to assist with clarifying concepts during the test.
Your numerical test score will NOT be displayed on the final certificate.

【Stage 4】 Download Certificate of Completion

Saving Your Official Document

📌 Certificate Download:
After passing the exam, navigate to the [Portfolio] (學習歷程) page on the platform to download your official PDF Certificate of Completion.

💡 Important Reminder: Please keep this Certificate PDF in a safe place. You will need to submit this certificate as part of your required documents for the Thesis Proposal Defense Application (Stage 1).
