【Stage 1】 Thesis Proposal Oral Defense Application

Including application for thesis advisor and thesis topic
💡 Mandatory Requirement:
Before starting this stage, please complete the academic research ethics course at the Center for Taiwan Academic Research Ethics Education and obtain the certificate of completion.

📅 Timeline: Starting from the first semester of the second year of the Master's program.

📌 Note: Each student may also submit the thesis proposal oral defense application by the end of November each year OR at least one month before the scheduled oral defense date.

【Important Milestone】 Turnitin Originality Check

Account application and similarity report generation

Before proceeding to your Degree Oral Defense, all students are required to submit their thesis to the Turnitin originality checking system to ensure academic integrity.

⚠️ Similarity Limit:
The total similarity index of your thesis MUST NOT exceed 20%.

【Stage 2】 Thesis Oral Defense Application

At this stage, students are required to log into the iNTUE system to complete the "Preliminary Graduation Review" process.

⚠️ Important Notes:
• Failure to complete this step may result in ineligibility to apply for the Oral Defense.
• If you are not graduating in the same semester as your Oral Defense, please make sure to reapply for the Graduation Qualification Review in your actual semester of graduation.

📅 Timeline: Submit 4 months after the proposal oral defense AND at least one month before the degree oral defense date, and no later than the end of May each year.

◆ Required Documents on the Day of the Oral Defense ◆

  • 1. Master's Thesis Examination Grading Form I_Appendix7 (Three copies required)

📝 Filling Note: The Thesis Oral Defense Committee Approval Form must include both the Chinese and English thesis titles, filled out according to the grey highlight instructions in the document.

【Stage 3】 Thesis Online Submission and Review

⚠️ Important Notice:
If you are unfamiliar with the process or require additional assistance, please be sure to reserve at least one month to complete the following steps.

📅 Timeline: After confirming with your advisor that the thesis revisions are complete and it is officially approved for upload to the "NTUE E-Thesis & Dissertation System".

📌 After obtaining your advisor's signature and signing it yourself, please submit the hard copy in person to the IMPLAI Office.
